Kramer Electronics’ VS−88H2vis an 8×8 matrix switcher for 4K@60Hz (4:4:4) HDR signals and digital audio. It re-clocks and equalizes the signals and can route any one of 8 HDMI, HDCP 2.2−compliant sources (selectable) to any or all outputs simultaneously.

The VS-88H2 features independent audio routing. Any of the 8 embedded digital audio input can be routed to any digital output, in addition to 8 ARC signals, to produce an equivalent 16×12 audio matrix (8 embedded digital inputs + 8 ARC inputs and 8 digital outputs + 4 ARC outputs). The VS-88H2 also has individual EDID management per input. It captures and stores the EDID from a display device.

Streaming solutions innovator StreamGear Inc. is proud to announce that its smartphone-empowered VidiMo handheld, live production system has been honored with a 2020 Special Edition Best of Show Award, presented by Digital Video following the NAB Show Express digital experience.

VidiMo – short for Video director on Mobile – turns a smartphone and HDMI video source (such as a camera) into a full-fledged, virtual production and transmission studio, enabling a single operator to produce multi-source, television-style shows that can be streamed live, recorded or both. Offering an easier way for both video professionals and enthusiasts to create and stream engaging, high-quality, live productions, the new hardware-and-app combination enables anyone to become a multi-camera producer, social media video star or citizen journalist.

Future’s Best of Show Awards are evaluated by a panel of engineers and industry experts, and are selected based on innovation, feature set, cost efficiency, and performance in serving the industry. A Special Edition of the award program was held this year in the absence of a physical NAB Show, with entries judged on their written nominations.
