Roland announces that 4XCAMERA, the company’s unique video capture app, now supports both Android and iOS mobile devices. 4XCAMERA makes it easy for musicians to create compelling music videos with up to four performances split on the screen. The app is available for free on the App Store or Google Play, with included support for two video performances at once. iOS users can upgrade to full four-video functionality via a modest in-app purchase, while Android users can download the full version on Google Play for a small fee. Owners of Roland’s GO:MIXER PRO Audio Mixer for Smartphones can access full functionality with no upgrade fee.

With 4XCAMERA and a supported mobile device, it’s quick and simple for one person to create split-screen performance videos of original music, cover songs, or karaoke tracks. And by sharing 4XCAMERA video projects through cloud-based storage, multiple musicians can contribute performances from anywhere in the world. The latest version of the app also provides integrated access to video clips of live drum performances for on-demand backing.

MSolutions Releases IP Network Analyzer Software with Cisco Compatibility

Radio Active Designs (RAD) has teamed up with Practical Show Technology to host an RF webinar on Tuesday, July 7 at 4:00 pm EDT. One of the topics discussed will be the end of using production wireless equipment that operates in the 616-653 and 663-698 MHz spectrum as of July 13, 2020.

“Everything we have been talking about for years is finally wrapping up,” explains James Stoffo, CTO, RAD. “One of the 600 MHz auction winners began to energize three years ago, and the industry has been working through the TV channel repack ever since. The moment of reckoning is finally here – any equipment that can tune to the 616-653 and 663-698 MHz bands as of July 13 will lose its FCC type certification and will be illegal.”

Fairhaven Church Manages Multiple Video Feeds for Sunday Worship Coverage with FOR-A Video Switcher

FOR-A Corporation of America today announced Fairhaven Church recently remodeled the worship facility on its Centerville, Ohio, campus. The facility facelift included new seating for more than 1,500 people, updated house lighting, and a complete AV overhaul built around a new FOR-A HVS-2000 HANABI video switcher.

Paired with the FOR-A’s 3320OU large control panel, the HVS-2000 switcher has 2 M/Es and 4 MELites. The switcher is used to display graphics on the I-MAG (image magnification) screen in the church, while simultaneously providing live video outputs for streaming to Facebook Live, YouTube Live, and the church’s website. The Centerville campus also shares a separate feed of its worship services to its three other campuses around Dayton, while using the switcher’s AUX outputs to feed monitors for the band and crew members in Centerville.
