PERG is pleased to announce the release of version 2.0 of the PERG Safe Return to Work Guidelines, Precautions for Preventing Transmission of COVID-19 for Camera and Lighting Rental Operations, Sound Stages, and Production Vehicles.

The document has now completed its public review cycle. The task group received feedback from all parts of the industry, rental companies, IATSE, and production. We are grateful for the thoughtfulness and concern of all who provided feedback.

Having gotten her start in the industry in college as a recording engineer nearly 20 years ago, Glaser’s major successes can be found in her work as a production sound mixer for feature films and episodic television. Some of her most recent credits include Westworld, Grey’s Anatomy, Feud: Bette and Joan and the Netflix feature film, Rim of the World.

New IPMX Website From AIMS Is Now Live

The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS) today launched a new website dedicated to the alliance’s new Internet Protocol Media Experience (IPMX) proposed set of open standards and specifications. IPMX addresses the Pro AV industry’s need for a single set of common, ubiquitous, standards-based protocols that ensure interoperability for AV over IP.

“The IPMX website makes it easy for anyone to learn more about this exciting approach to AV over IP,” said David Chiappini, working group chair, Pro AV Workgroup at AIMS. “In addition to outlining the fundamentals of IPMX and the benefits it enables, the website provides up-to-date information on related events and presentations by industry experts.
