New Models Easily Integrate Contact Closure-Driven Switch Sets With an RJ-45 Connection, Eliminates Soldering Tasks
LynTec, a leading manufacturer of innovative electrical power control solutions for professional audio, video, and lighting systems, announced the addition of RJ-45-connections to switch sets. The SS-2LRP locking rack plate switch set, SS-2DPL brushed aluminum decora insert, and SS-2PL single-gang stainless-steel wall plate no longer require the task of soldering wire connections for contact closure-driven switch sets with a simple RJ-45 connection.
“Soldering is a dying art due to increased use of RJ-45 connectors and corresponding cables,” said Mark Bishop, president of LynTec. “By not requiring the connections to be soldered, our new switch sets not only reduce installation costs with less labor and required wire involved but also simplify post-installation maintenance and troubleshooting, since no soldering has to be redone. This addition to our accessories keeps pace with the increasing use of RJ-45 connectors on projects and aligns with our ongoing commitment to deliver power control options that streamline the installation and user experience.”
NEW YORK, OCTOBER 8, 2019 — Pliant Technologies will showcase its newest wireless intercom system, MicroCom, at AES 2019 (Booth 846). MicroCom offers a simple and affordable digital wireless intercom solution for any budget. Available in 900MHz (where legal), MicroCom provides single channel, full-duplex, multi-user intercom for applications where high-quality audio, excellent range, and low-cost are essential. This compact, economical wireless intercom is ideal for a wide array of applications where a small, yet robust com system needs to be deployed.
MicroCom has the ability to have up to five full duplex users, as well as the advantage of adding unlimited listeners without the need for basestations, providing a great deal of flexibility. Sonotechnique, the respected broadcast equipment firm headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, has just been named the Canadian distributor for Lawo Radio products.
Sonotechnique President Patrice Delhaes says “Beginning an association with Lawo at this moment is particularly good timing. We have seen that many of radio’s early AoIP adopters are now looking to begin their second round of networked-studio builds. Many stations with traditional studios are also preparing to network. All of them want standards-based networking, rather than proprietary protocols that limit their choices. Lawo, with their continuing technical innovation and commitment to open standards such as RAVENNA and AES67, is a perfect fit.”
“Lawo is very pleased to be working with Sonotechnique,” says Jochen Richter, Lawo Head of Sales, Radio. “30 years of personalized service has given them enviable experience and insight into the Canadian radio market, and their skill in helping broadcasters define and achieve their operational goals is second to none. It is a pleasure to welcome them as our partner in Canada.”
With offices in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, Sonotechnique serves broadcasters with planning, integration and installation services. Sonotechnique will represent Lawo’s entire line of radio equipment and solutions, including the popular ruby and crystal mixing consoles, high-density Power Core AES67 audio gateway, touchscreen-based crystalCLEAR mixer, and RƎLAY line of Virtual Radio software for PCs.
