In addition, new DiGiCo boards have now also been installed in its Student Life Center (SD8 and SD9) and Family Life Center (SD11) facilities.

luminexBayside Church in Granite Bay, California has upgraded its AV system with a complement of equipment from LUMINEX Network Intelligence consisting of two GigaCore 12 managed Gigabit Ethernet switches, an 8-port Ethernet-to-DMX node and three DMX 10-port hubs.

Sacramento-based integrator Dave’s World Lighting & Scenic Designs selected the LUMINEX equipment, which was obtained from BP Productions in West Sacramento.  Dave Carr, who heads Dave’s World Designs, installed the original AV system for the church about ten years ago and added its first network-based lighting system a year later.

The Biblically-based Bayside Church draws some 10,000 worshippers to its six weekend services.  The sanctuary holds about 2,400 people in a multi-purpose space with retractable seating and a stage, which can be partially removed to open up the floor.  Two 12×22-foot front projection screens, displaying IMAG, song lyrics, video and PowerPoint, are also movable.

Danley Synergy Horn Delivers Superior Pattern Control at Summit Church

In Install Newsby tfwm

Summit_ChurchAlthough First Missionary Church established in Niles, Michigan over fifty years ago, it has been only in recent years that its growth has begun to strain the resources of its small sanctuary. The church elected to move to a new location, where it could build a larger multipurpose room and, as time and funds permitted, additional infrastructure, such as a dedicated sanctuary. Because the new building is located on a hill amid the relatively flat topography of southern Michigan, the church also elected to change its name to Summit Church. However, the name was all that changed. The church did not change its contemporary approach to delivering engaging services, which includes a full band with vocals, keyboard, guitar, bass, and drums. To present those services with maximum impact and intelligibility, Minnesota-based Audio Video Electronics (AVE) designed and installed a sound reinforcement system centered on Danley Sound Labs SH-96 and SH-60 Synergy Horn loudspeakers.

Congregants praise new loudspeaker solution for its impact and intelligibility

Pantano3In today’s high-technology climate, the challenge facing many dynamic Houses of Worship is to maintain congregation engagement. At Tucson’s Pantano Christian Church (PCC), half of weekend services feature modern Christian rock, yet worshipers were regularly voicing they couldn’t properly hear the music or the message.

Nearly two years ago, when a new pastoral team stepped into leadership at PCC, they declared an upgrade to the worship spaces’ audio, video and lighting systems a top priority, and HOW systems integrator CCI Solutions was called in to specify and install an L-Acoustics ARCS “WIFO” (WIDE/FOCUS) loudspeaker system.

Todd Gathany, CCI’s senior systems consultant on the Pantano project, faced a difficult obstacle: the worship space actually consists of three distinct spaces. The main sanctuary has adjoining gymnasiums with their own bleachers in the back on both sides – with floating air walls separating them from the big room. The walls are moved to the sides for major events, opening the facility to a capacity of 2,000. Gathany notes, “The new PA that we designed had to work for all three spaces individually, but then had to easily come together to cover the entire space as one in a very cohesive way so the experience would be similar regardless of what room you’re in.”

Aaron Shust Christmas Concert Stage Colorized With CHAUVET Professional COLORado Fixtures

In Install News, Web Articlesby tfwm

Christmas Concert3Music not only conveys the spirit of Christmas at The Heights Baptist Church, it also creates memories that worshippers cherish. A decade ago, leaders of this church outside Dallas made a decision to move away from theatrical holiday productions and instead have their Christmas season services feature concerts by their choir, orchestra and special guest artists. This year’s guest was very special indeed, as the church welcomed multi-Dove Award winner Aaron Shust, who performed on a stage that was illuminated in warm seasonal colors by COLORado™ 3P IP LED wash banks from CHAUVET Professional.

“The Christmas concerts with their special guests have become a tradition here,” said Bobby Dennis, Technical Director at the church. “In the past, we’ve had artists like Point of Grace, Andrew Peterson, Larnelle Harris join us. Of course part of the feeling we create on stage comes from the very lush holiday colors that light these performances. The COLORado fixtures were key in colorizing the stage for Aaron’s Christmas concert; they are our workhorse color wall and stage wash, performing flawlessly and never flickering, which is important because we HD/IMAG the concert.”
