BenQ Expands Family of Education Smart Boards With New Health-Centric BenQBoard RM03 Series

BenQ, an internationally renowned provider of visual display solutions, today announced the release of its new BenQBoard RM03 Series 4K UHD interactive displays for hybrid classrooms and distance learning. The 65″ RM6503, 75″ RM7503, and the 86″ RM8603 smart boards are designed to be an intuitive learning hub that allows teachers to start, manage, and create lessons directly from the display. They feature BenQ’s health-centric ClassroomCare® technology that includes the industry’s only antimicrobial touchscreen and pens to help prevent the spread of germs, EZWrite 6 intuitive collaboration software, InstaShare 2 wireless screen sharing, and IT and administration management tools such as AMS, X-Sign Broadcast digital signage software, and OTA updates.

Wisycom Wireless App Now Available

Wisycom Srl announces the availability of its new Wisycom App for the Symphony Series wireless microphone system, available for iOS and Android. Accompanying the release of the app are firmware enhancements to the line, which includes the MCR54 four-channel and MCR54-Dual two-channel true-diversity portable receivers, and the MTP60 bodypack transmitter.

“We’re excited to release the app for our Symphony Series users,” said Massimo Polo, Vice President of Sales at Wisycom Srl. “This app brings every critical function of our Symphony devices right into the hands of system operators, improving on the most advanced wireless system available.”

Similar to the Wisycom Manager PC software, the new app allows users to monitor, control and manage Wisycom devices through a Bluetooth 5 long-range connection. Users can remotely change device frequencies, monitor and adjust audio levels, and select channel/group assignments. Advanced features are available to select the transmitter and receiver bandwidth, adjust the transmitter’s RF output power, and toggle recording status.

IHSE USA is now shipping its new Draco DPS 4X1 KVM desktop series switches. New PreSonus Universal Control Update Directly Supports M1 Macs and More

PreSonus® has released Universal Control 3.4.2, a milestone update to its multi-product control and driver software package that includes full support for Apple Silicon M1-based Mac® computers. All currently supported PreSonus hardware—including all USB audio interfaces (AudioBox and Studio series), Quantum-series Thunderbolt interfaces, StudioLive® mixers (16.0.2 USB, AR series, and Series III), ATOM-series pad controllers, and FaderPort®-series control surfaces—now works natively with M1-based Macs.

Universal Control 3.4.2 includes a firmware update for the PreSonus Quantum 4848 interface and for the company’s ATOM and ATOM SQ pad controllers. ATOM SQ now connects correctly on macOS® Big Sur 11.2 and later. Connectivity has been improved with some Windows® systems, as well. The update also implements pad performance adjustments for both units.

Audinate’s Dante Now Supported in More Than 3,000 Devices

Audinate’s Dante, the de facto standard for digital audio networking, recently reached an impressive milestone with more than 3,000 different products now incorporating Dante for audio-over-IP connectivity. According to research from RH Consulting, 3,034 Dante-enabled devices are available from 361 different manufacturers as of January 2021. The data from RH Consulting indicates Dante is the protocol of choice in more than 91 percent of the networked audio products currently on the market.

Audinate announced in January that the total number of OEM brands now working with Dante has reached 518, with 133 OEMs currently developing their first Dante-enabled product.

Marshall Further Expands IP Workflow Capabilities with Additional Camera Choices

Marshall Electronics continues to develop new cameras designed to improve IP workflows. Marshall released two levels of 4K PTZ cameras within the last year with 30x optical zoom and professional grade sensors: one with up to 4K30 (CV630) resolution and one with up to 4K60 (CV730) resolution. Marshall also recently offered two levels of fixed position cameras with 30x optical zoom and professional grade sensors: one with up to HD60 (CV355-30X) resolution and one with up to UHD60 (CV420-30X).

In looking forward to 2021, Marshall is scheduled to launch a High-Bandwidth NDI® PTZ camera (CV730-BHN) late Q3 with up to 4K60 resolution and 30x optical zoom packed with High-Bandwidth NDI®, NDI®|HX and simultaneous 12GSDI/HDMI2.0 outputs. Also planned for later this year, Marshall has its CV620-BI with 20x optical zoom 3GSDI, HDMI and IP/HEVC/SRT, and the CV620-BN with 20x optical zoom 3GSDI, HDMI and NDI®|HX on its product roadmap.

PreSonus Introduces Second Major Update to Award-Winning Studio One 5

PreSonus® is shipping Studio One® 5 Professional version 5.2, the second feature update to its award-winning digital audio workstation software for macOS® and Windows®. Version 5.2 adds more than 30 new features and improvements, many of which are based on user requests, including major new features for composers and performers.

The next level in articulation support, Studio One 5.2’s new Sound Variations can handle even the most complex virtual instruments and orchestral libraries that are essential for modern composers. The core of the new Sound Variations system is a powerful, yet easy to use mapping editor that provides tools for managing complex articulation maps. Each Sound Variation can be customized with its own name and color and can be dragged-and-dropped in any order and placed into custom folders. Sound Variations can be triggered by key switches, as well as from remote commands, including hardware controllers, keyboard shortcuts, custom macros, and more. Use the Paint Tool to enter Sound Variations directly into the associated automation lane inside the Note Editor or select any number of notes and assign a Sound Variation from a convenient right-click popup menu.
