TONE and VidOvation To Offer Audio Activated User-Engagement Technology for Live Events
The TONE® Knows and VidOvation today announced a partnership to integrate TONE’s direct-to-device marketing and analytics technology platform with VidOvation products and services in the broadcast, production, streaming, and Pro AV markets. This partnership will give VidOvation customers the ability to run video, audio, and data transmissions enabled with TONE to broaden user engagement in live events.
TONE’s personalized Audio Activated QR™, with its patented TONE Technology™, gives consumers the ability to connect with their favorite brands during live events. In its simplest form, TONE delivers tiny fragments of engineered audio, aka TONE Tags®, through any audio-based delivery system. When combined with a TONE-enabled mobile app, it listens to beacons or transmitters for audio QR codes embedded in the audio tracks of film, television, advertising, digital signage, and other media. This embedded code gives the mobile app the geolocation of a user’s device, identifying the media they are engaged with and pinpointing their location at a live event. By passively engaging the user with personalized content, its delivery is based on the user’s location and promotional information within their vicinity, making the mobile app a perfect companion for organizations involved with live events — including trade shows, sporting events, live television, cinema, and retail sales.
Vectorworks Connection to NVIDIA Omniverse Expands Designers’ Opportunities in the Metaverse
Global design and BIM software provider Vectorworks, Inc. has released an integrated Omniverse Connector, providing Windows users a direct connection to the NVIDIA Omniverse platform for building and operating metaverse applications. The new plug-in connects Vectorworks 3D models straight to Omniverse via the Universal Scene Description (USD) framework, eliminating steps for the import/export process, saving designers valuable time and streamlining collaborative processes. Designers can now freely and infinitely iterate on design concepts in real time using high-fidelity models that can be instantly shared with one click.
“The Omniverse Connector opens the door to a new realm of possibilities for our users,” said Vectorworks Chief Executive Officer Dr. Biplab Sarkar. “Designers can access the metaverse to work with colleagues, consultants and clients in new and exciting ways, fostering the potential for groundbreaking, limitless designs. Lawo Establishes CTO Office to Drive and Achieve Strategic Business Goals
In light of the company’s rapid growth and the obvious necessity to provide its customers with innovative answers to new workflow models, Lawo has established a CTO Office staffed with experts from all areas, dedicated exclusively to achieving the overall strategic goals of Lawo’s product and R&D organizations. The CTO Office drives innovation and marketable solutions for current and future developments, and ensures that the forward-looking initiatives of the corporate strategy are delivered.
Phil Myers, Lawo’s CTO, explains: “The CTO Office will implement the execution of our customer-centric strategy across the organization. Lawo is well aware that the delivery of products involving audio, video, networking, and control infrastructure is no longer enough. Customers increasingly expect seamlessly integrated solutions rather than technically robust assemblies of hardware and software. Lawo customers have jobs to do, and we need to provide intuitive and efficient tools and workflows that span the full gamut of Lawos portfolio. Tight integration is the cornerstone of our strategy.” “Lawo solutions need to be powerful, easy-to-use, quick to deploy, and technically aligned. To achieve this, we will ensure that all parts of the organization are in sync and work towards a common goal. The CTO Office is tasked with driving this convergence within the company,” Myers states.
TASCAM Introduces the SB-16D 16-in/16-out Dante Stage Box
TASCAM is pleased to announce the debut of the SB-16D 16-in/16-out Dante Enabled Stage Box. The TASCAM SB-16D stage box offers all the advantages of Dante networking, combined with seamless integration with the new TASCAM Sonicview Digital Recording and Mixing Consoles. Controllable by means of the TASCAM IO Control app or via the new Sonicview consoles, the SB-16D can be used as a floor stage box or rack mounted, and multiple stage boxes can be used simultaneously in a Dante network.
The new SB-16D offers a full complement of I/O with the features audio professionals demand. The SB-16D can easily accommodate large ensembles and extensive installed Dante systems using the SB-16Ds 16 XLR mic/line inputs and 16 XLR line outputs. If more I/O capacity is required, multiple SB-16D stage boxes can be networked. Each input channel has +48V phantom power and an SIG OL LED for input-level monitoring. Additionally, each line output is equipped with SIG OL LEDs. Two Dante ports equipped with etherCON-compatible Dante connectors enable redundant streams with robust connections. For additional system reliability, a DC power input is provided that allows a redundant power supply (not included).
