IHSE USA’s Draco MV42-H2DH 4KDual-Head HDMI 2.0 Multiviewer Now Shipping in the United States
IHSE USA today announced that its Draco MV42-H2DH dual-head HDMI 2.0 multiviewer is now shipping in the United States. Designed to add flexibility to KVM management systems — while integrating seamlessly with IHSE’s full line of KVM extenders and switchers — the unit offers a unique set of visualization features for control rooms and other environments where monitoring and managing multiple active computers from a dual-head workstation is required.
“By combining the functionality of a classic multiviewer with a desktop switch, the MV42-H2DH enables the simultaneous operation of several computers from a single workstation, making it ideal for critical applications such as command-and-control centers where operators need to monitor multiple video signals at a glance,” said Dan Holland, marketing manager at IHSE USA. “In addition to delivering real-time image processing and control in these environments, features such as multiple viewing modes, audio de-embedding, instant previews, and more provide users with powerful tools to streamline any workflow.”
Blustream to Debut Latest AV Distribution Solutions at InfoComm 2021
Leading AV distribution innovator Blustream today announced that the company will be highlighting its latest AV distribution solutions at InfoComm 2021, taking place Oct. 27-29 in the Orlando Convention Center. On display in booth 3743 will be Blustream’s AMF41W and AMF42AU 4K multiformat presentation switches, the IP250UHD 4K multicast video-over-IP platform featuring Dante® integration, and the HEX18G-KIT uncompressed, unconverted 18Gbps HDMI over HDBaseT extender set.
“We’ll be exhibiting for the first time at InfoComm 2021 and can’t wait to see everyone in person to introduce them to our wide range of advanced AV distribution solutions,” said Jason Dominique, Blustream U.S. Sales Director. “Our 4K multiformat presentation switches simplify content sharing from boardrooms to classrooms with features like AirPlay and Miracast® support, plus audio mixing, while our IP250UHD platform lowers costs by allowing installers to integrate networked audio via Dante only on the required endpoints. Finally, for installations demanding the highest possible quality, our HEX18G-KIT enables the distribution of bit-for-bit 4K HDMI video and audio up to 328 feet over a single Cat6A cable. It’s going to be an amazing show, and we look forward to seeing the integrator community live.”
eGlass to Debut World’s First Transparent Lightboard With Built-in Camera at InfoComm 2021
Pathway Innovations, Inc, an innovative technology leader in the education and enterprise markets, today announced that its revolutionary eGlass illuminated glass writing board will be making its long-awaited InfoComm debut. An all-in-one communications tool featuring a built-in camera and adjustable LED lighting, eGlass merges the presenter’s face and writing, along with presentation media, into a single picture for in-person or remote collaboration. At booth 3943, Pathway will demonstrate how to jump-start engagement with the award-winning solution, while giving away 20 units to booth visitors over the course of the show.
“When you write on a whiteboard and turn your back to your audience, you lose the valuable face-to-face connection that’s critical for engagement,” said Bayley Pierson, eGlass director of marketing. “And when you turn to your audience, you’re no longer facing the content on the board. eGlass represents a transformative change in collaboration technology by providing a transparent surface on which presenters can write while facing the audience. It draws participants in with the presenter’s facial expressions, body language, and gestures, while allowing the presenter to watch the audience’s faces to gauge interest and understanding.”

Pro Keyboardists Turn to Radial KL-8 as Live Shows Ramp Up
As live touring begins to ramp up, more and more keyboardists are relying on the Radial KL-8 Rackmount Keyboard Mixer to streamline their multiple keyboard and virtual instrument setups. In addition to the KL-8s flexibility and compactness, many cite Radial’s legacy of roadworthiness and reliability as a reason for choosing the KL-8.
Jordan Rudess of Dream Theater and Liquid Tension Experiment has been using KL-8s for many years and will be carrying several with him on the road as his live show schedule picks up.
“The KL-8 is awesome in that we can combine all of my instruments down to a stereo pair, which we then send to front-of-house and monitors,” says Rudess. “The sound quality is awesome and meets our high standards, while the laptop integration makes it easy to do tracking during our live shows.”
Roland Announces JD-800 Software Synthesizer
Roland announces the JD-800 Software Synthesizer, the latest addition to the Legendary series of software-based Roland instruments available through Roland Cloud. In early 2021—30 years after the debut of the original JD-800 hardware synth—Roland introduced the JD-800 Model Expansion for the ZENOLOGY software synthesizer and select ZEN-CORE hardware instruments. Now, the anniversary celebration continues with the release of this iconic digital instrument as a dedicated DAW plug-in. The JD-800 Software Synthesizer delivers a virtual recreation of the original’s unique sound and inviting control-laden interface, along with a host of new features and enhancements for today’s music producers.
In the early 1990s, preset-driven digital synths with limited hands-on controls dominated the landscape. The JD-800 changed all that in 1991, bringing the synthesizer world back to its roots with a massive control-filled panel and an unapologetically electronic sound palette. An instant hit among the world’s top keyboard players, this innovative instrument found its way onto classic albums and numerous film and television scores, and it remains highly sought after to this day.
