New hardware-and-app solution turns a phone and external video source into a complete production platform, making it easier than ever before to create high-quality live content
Video content creators ranging from professionals to social media enthusiasts can soon have a better way to share their vision with their audience through high-quality live productions. Streaming solutions startup StreamGear Inc. will come out of stealth mode at tomorrow’s StreamGeeks Summit conference in New York City by launching VidiMo, a new hardware-and-app combination that turns a smartphone and external video source into a full-fledged, virtual video production and transmission facility.
Providing an easier way to create and share engaging live video content, the VidiMo system enables a single person with a smartphone and a video camera to produce multi-source, television-style shows that can be streamed live, recorded or both. While smartphone camera quality has improved over the years, it’s still no match for the rich creative functionality – such as optical zoom, tactile focus, iris control and depth of field – of a dedicated video or DSLR camera. VidiMo lets users have the best of both worlds, bringing an HDMI video source into their smartphone and combining it with the phone’s camera and other sources.

The IP ethernet I/O port supports triple stream H.265/H.264/MJPEG video with MPEG-TS support, common IP control protocols, and power (PoE) over a single Ethernet cable with stereo audio embedding through a 3.5mm input on the rear panel. The CV420-30X-IP and CV355-30X-IP utilize common control protocols including Visca over IP, Onvif and Pelco, and are compatible with the new Marshall VS-PTC-IP IP Camera Controller.

Quick How-To Guide for Streaming Video

In home_page, Live Streaming, Video/Broadcast, Video/Broadcast Product News, Web Articlesby tfwm

Streaming media is video, audio, or text sent over the Internet and displayed by the viewer upon arrival or accessed later as a saved file. With live streaming media, a Web user does not have to wait to download a large file before seeing the video or hearing the sound. Instead, the media is sent in a continuous stream and is played as it arrives. When streaming media is stored and made available via a Web site, the viewer can play back and view the video at their convenience.

How Can Streaming Video Benefit My Ministry?
Internet streaming offers churches the opportunity to engage live with parishioners and potential members throughout the entire world. With Internet streaming, you can broadcast services and educational events to ill parishioners or the hearing impaired. Sermons can be broadcast to students or military personnel that are far from home. Streaming can also be used to expand your church beyond its physical walls by making your message available to potential members anywhere in the world.
