Vectorworks Connection to NVIDIA Omniverse Expands Designers’ Opportunities in the Metaverse
Global design and BIM software provider Vectorworks, Inc. has released an integrated Omniverse Connector, providing Windows users a direct connection to the NVIDIA Omniverse platform for building and operating metaverse applications. The new plug-in connects Vectorworks 3D models straight to Omniverse via the Universal Scene Description (USD) framework, eliminating steps for the import/export process, saving designers valuable time and streamlining collaborative processes. Designers can now freely and infinitely iterate on design concepts in real time using high-fidelity models that can be instantly shared with one click.
“The Omniverse Connector opens the door to a new realm of possibilities for our users,” said Vectorworks Chief Executive Officer Dr. Biplab Sarkar. “Designers can access the metaverse to work with colleagues, consultants and clients in new and exciting ways, fostering the potential for groundbreaking, limitless designs. We’re excited to see the bright future this new feature sparks for designers and our software.”

Lawo Establishes CTO Office to Drive and Achieve Strategic Business Goals
In light of the company’s rapid growth and the obvious necessity to provide its customers with innovative answers to new workflow models, Lawo has established a CTO Office staffed with experts from all areas, dedicated exclusively to achieving the overall strategic goals of Lawo’s product and R&D organizations. The CTO Office drives innovation and marketable solutions for current and future developments, and ensures that the forward-looking initiatives of the corporate strategy are delivered.
Phil Myers, Lawo’s CTO, explains: “The CTO Office will implement the execution of our customer-centric strategy across the organization. Lawo is well aware that the delivery of products involving audio, video, networking, and control infrastructure is no longer enough. Customers increasingly expect seamlessly integrated solutions rather than technically robust assemblies of hardware and software. Lawo customers have jobs to do, and we need to provide intuitive and efficient tools and workflows that span the full gamut of Lawos portfolio. Tight integration is the cornerstone of our strategy.” “Lawo solutions need to be powerful, easy-to-use, quick to deploy, and technically aligned. To achieve this, we will ensure that all parts of the organization are in sync and work towards a common goal. The CTO Office is tasked with driving this convergence within the company,” Myers states.
TASCAM Introduces the SB-16D 16-in/16-out Dante Stage Box
TASCAM is pleased to announce the debut of the SB-16D 16-in/16-out Dante Enabled Stage Box. The TASCAM SB-16D stage box offers all the advantages of Dante networking, combined with seamless integration with the new TASCAM Sonicview Digital Recording and Mixing Consoles.
