Based in Flushing, New York, Interface Communications was founded in 1999 to provide a higher level of mobile television production to broadcast and corporate organizations worldwide. When the company needed to upgrade from 1080i cameras to 1080p with 3G-SDI connectivity, it chose SK-HD1800 studio and field production cameras from Hitachi Kokusai Electric America, Ltd. (Hitachi Kokusai) to deliver the production flexibility and quality they sought.

Interface Communications provides production services and engineering solutions for everything from sports and entertainment events to parades, fashion shows, and church services, with clients including the NBA, ESPN, CNBC, and Fortune 100 corporations. The company set out earlier this year to upgrade the cameras on its 33-foot production hybrid truck Hermes to better support the work they do with the NBA, which includes coverage of pre- and post-game press conferences, events such as the governor’s meetings, and additional supplementary feeds.

IHSE USA today announced that its IHSE kvm-tec Gateway2go app received a Best of Show award from Sound & Video Contractor magazine at InfoComm 2022 in Las Vegas. A judging panel made up of AV experts evaluated the Windows-based app during the show. The innovative software solution allows users to connect to the switching network at any time and display a live image of a specific local unit.

“Remote workers present a unique challenge to protect confidential company data because remote work environments don’t have the same safeguards in place that would be found in an office environment,” said Dan Holland, marketing manager at IHSE USA. “We developed the Gateway2go with an eye on the growing security risks that remote work presents while ensuring users can connect just as simply and reliably as if they were local. Thank you, SVC and the judges for seeing how we’re working hard to align to our switching solutions with the quickly evolving state of the industry.”

Since 1997, TWIST Integration Solutions Technology (TWIST IST) has been supplying the professional broadcast markets of Houston and the surrounding areas with AV integrations for optimum performance. When presented with the opportunity to manage the audio and video installation at a new wedding facility for Word of Restoration International Church (WORIC), TWIST IST Vice President Scott Cantrell knew he needed to integrate high-quality, flexible and budget-friendly cameras. To satisfy these requirements, Cantrell turned to JVC Professional Video, a division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation.

While planning the AV integration for the dedicated marriage space, which includes a chapel and reception hall, Cantrell selected two GY-HC900 CONNECTED CAM™ camcorders, each with a 20x lens and seven-inch JVC ProHD on-camera viewfinder monitor, as well as four KY-PZ100 PTZ cameras. Cantrell and his team also designed a new central control room/studio, which features a JVC DT-N21H ProHD Broadcast Studio LCD monitor, along with the RM-LP250M and RM-LP100 Remote Control Panels, to manage the GY-HC900 and PTZ cameras, respectively.

As a video integration and production services company, TV Pro Gear is a leader in all things broadcast and event production. Under the direction of President and CEO Andrew Maisner, the team has spent the last 25 years designing, engineering and building TV stations, production studios, flypacks and video trucks for clients all over the world. In order to deliver cutting-edge broadcast productions for his clients, Maisner and his team often choose to spec a variety of gear from JVC Professional Video, a division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation.

Among the services and solutions that feature JVC equipment are TV Pro Gear’s Genesis I and Genesis II Flypacks, which include the KY-PZ100 or KY-PZ400 CONNECTED CAM™ PTZ cameras, respectively. “We conducted really detailed side-by-side testing with cameras from other manufacturers and JVC is clearly superior at its pricepoint,” says Maisner. “They work better in low light, are less noisy, have a wider gamma and have an amazing 30x zoom lens. The new KY-PZ400 4K camera just takes things to the next level, which is why we added it to the Genesis II package.”
