99fad78c-de4b-49c8-b6cc-5278ad390315Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, located in Atlanta, Georgia, recently added a new EAW Redline sound reinforcement system to their sanctuary. The church leaders, who are planning a complete sanctuary renovation in the next few years, were looking for an audio solution that would meet their immediate needs and could be re-purposed in the future.

With that goal in mind, they contacted AEE Productions, also located in Atlanta, to assess the situation.

“A high-quality, powerful, portable system like Redline provides powerful sound that doesn’t bottom out and provides the vocal clarity needed for a sanctuary,” explains Yergan Jones, president of AEE Productions. “Because it is portable and self-powered, it has versatility and the ability to be used in any number of applications the church might have in the future.”

High Profile Christian Church Seeks Solace With Low Profile Speaker System

nexo-id-walla-walla-u-cThe Walla Walla University (WWU) Church is located on the campus of Walla Walla University, a private Christian liberal arts university in College Place, WA and just a few miles from Walla Walla. Recently, Sound Image (Escondido, CA) recommended a NEXO ID Series low profile, high-output loudspeaker system as a suitable solution for the Fellowship Hall at the WWU Church. The all-purpose hall seats 150 in stage configuration and is used primarily for worship and Sabbath services, receptions, and meetings.

Daniel Rafuse of Loma Linda (CA) University recommended the NEXO ID system to WWU Church. Sound Image, Rafuse, and with assistance from Yamaha staff, designed the system using NEXO NS-1 software. Rafuse completed final tuning.

“With the low ceiling of the room, we needed something that was very small and could tuck up to the ceiling so we wouldn’t lose any head room, states Brandon Rinas, Design Sales Engineer, Sound Image. We required a speaker system with good output because WWUC has a contemporary worship service once or twice a week for 100+ college students. We also needed a few different horn patterns to fit within the wide room and wrap-around seating area.”

midasActs Christian Church in Midrand, South Africa has continued its MIDAS journey by moving to Generation 3.0 with a recent upgrade to a PRO X mixing system. With demand for higher channel count and more monitor sends to accommodate a mixture of contemporary worship, the church has purchased a MIDAS PRO X, PRO1 and a combination of 5 MIDAS DL stage boxes to replace a PRO3.

The church’s Senior Pastor, Peter de Fin, who is also a former touring sound engineer, has a firm preference on the quality of manufacturer he likes to deploy. “We use quality microphones, loudspeakers and instruments so it was important to us that the console didn’t become a bottleneck in process. We love MIDAS as a brand and the new desks not only look great, but sound great and are very easy to use.”

Acts Christian Church is a New Testament Church with two venues in Midrand, South Africa; a 2,500 seat venue in Glen Austin and 600 seat venue in Vorna Valley. Continually growing, increased flexibility of the new digital mixing system is a must.
