McAlester Public Schools Select BenQ Boards

BenQ, an internationally renowned provider of visual display solutions, continues to be the chosen smart board of choice for schools across the nation. McAlester Public Schools in Oklahoma installed BenQ’s Premium RP Series Education smart boards in every classroom in the district. The BenQ Board is packed with features including a germ-resistant screen and Tap & Teach technology delivering instant access to files, cloud storage, and personalized settings. Its license-free and intuitive EZ Write annotation and whiteboard software, and built-in InstaShare wireless screen sharing solution, make the RP Series the central hub for collaboration in the classroom. Plus, BenQ includes tools for IT and admin staff to easily configure, monitor, and update every smart board in the district from a centralized location.

“One of the main reasons for choosing BenQ was flexibility,” said Delilah Rodriguez, instructional technology and STEM at McAlester Public Schools. “My teachers didn’t need a computer if they didn’t want to use one. They could use the BenQ Board as their instructional tool.”

EAW’s AC6 ADPATive Column Loudspeaker Nominated for NAMM TEC Award

The AC6 2-Way Full Range ADAPTive Column Loudspeaker from Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW®) has been announced as a finalist for the 38th Annual NAMM Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Awards in the category of Outstanding Technical Achievement. With EAW’s signature ADAPTive technology, AC6 has bridged the gap between sound quality and architecture, delivering pristine audio to venues of all sizes and securing its position as a nominee for this honor.

AC6 packs ADAPTive technology into an easy-to-conceal column format. Each AC6 is comprised of six 6″ woofers and thirty 1″ dome tweeters. Each transducer is independently amplified and processed, allowing the AC6 to yield an unparalleled level of control that results in superior performance using fewer loudspeakers than competitive technology. Low-frequency response down to 65Hz means AC6 can deliver pristine musical sound, especially in venues where acoustics can pose a challenge.  The rugged extruded aluminum chassis, IP54 rating and innovative rear panel control make AC6 ideal for fixed install and portable use.

Atlona to Celebrate 20 Years in Business at ISE 2023

Atlona, a Panduit company, travels to ISE 2023 next month to celebrate an important company milestone while debuting several product innovations and demos that accentuate the company’s sharpened vertical focus. As the new year dawns, Atlona turns 20 and begins its fourth year in operation under Panduit’s ownership. Both offer compelling insights into how Atlona has evolved over two decades, and how emerging customer needs, industry trends, and Panduit’s AV/IT vision point to Atlona’s future direction.

The Atlona story began 20 years ago inside a Silicon Valley garage as a manufacturer of cables, adapters and video converters sold direct to residential end users. Fast forward to ISE 2011 and Atlona would make its first appearance at ISE introducing digital connectivity solutions to the EMEA market. Since then, ISE has since served as the company’s launchpad for key product lines, including 4K/UHD Extension over HDBaseT in 2015, collaboration systems for soft codec-based conferencing platforms in 2016, IP-based AV control (Velocity™) in 2017, and Wireless BYOD (AT-OME-52W) in 2020.

Vectorworks, Inc. Announces Design Scholarship Winners, Names Michelle Wanitzek Richard Diehl Award Winner

A strong supporter of the world’s future designers, global design and BIM software provider Vectorworks, Inc. proudly announces the 2022 Vectorworks Design Scholarship winners, with Michelle Wanitzek taking home the coveted Richard Diehl Award. With over 1,000 submissions, scholarships were awarded to 30 students for 22 projects in the architecture, interior design, landscape and entertainment industries.

This year’s winning project, “Nomad Coworking,” submitted by Wanitzek for her master’s thesis at the University of Wismar, features a coworking space and coffeeshop in a listed monument — a site identified for its architectural or historical significance — and focuses on the increasing importance of alternative and flexible workspaces. The design tackled a challenging task — working with a historical monument’s intricacies and structural limits while simultaneously preserving the protected façade and showcasing the transformation for experiential value.
