Just Add Power’s MaxColor 4K60 Series Named Commercial Integrator BEST at InfoComm 2022
Just Add Power, a leader in AV-over-IP distribution, announced its new MaxColor™ 4K60 Series received a BEST Award in the Matrix Switchers category from Commercial Integrator magazine at InfoComm 2022 in Las Vegas. The 2022 BEST Awards highlight products and services that are genuine difference-makers in the commercial AV industry, enabling integrators to sustain and grow their businesses. Winners were selected by a panel of judges with no affiliation to the nominees. The MaxColor series was previously honored with a Best of Show award at ISE 2022 in Barcelona.
“MaxColor continues to be a must-see, must-have solution for elegantly supporting the 4K distribution requirement,” said Taft Stricklin, sales team manager at Just Add Power. “Not only was it a hit at the show, but, based on the feedback from installers, it also has been the answer to numerous projects since it began shipping at the end of March. We’re stoked to be acknowledged by Commercial Integrator and add yet another award win to MaxColor’s roster as proof of its powerful UHD distribution performance and ability to greatly simplify installations.”
BenQ Releases Most Secure Wireless Presentation System to Date
BenQ, an internationally renowned provider of visual display solutions, continues its leadership in the wireless presentation system category with its new ultra-secure InstaShow WDC30. Featuring three layers of wireless protection — Wi-Fi 6 encryption, ISO EAL6+, and FIPS 140-3 — the InstaShow WDC30 is engineered and certified to meet the stringent security requirements of U.S. government agencies, financial institutions, healthcare organizations, and other high-risk enterprises. Users can instantly connect the germ-resistant WDC30 button to their laptop and tap to present sensitive data with stunning, smooth 4K@60fps video output to up to two displays without network logins or software downloads, which can pose network security threats.
“The risk of a cybersecurity attack is multiplying at an alarming rate every year, with an average cost of data breaches to companies worldwide coming in at $3.86 million and sources predicting that $172 billion will be spent on information security this year alone,” said Bob Wudeck, senior director of business development at BenQ America Corp. “The WDC30 is the first commercially available wireless presentation system to meet FIPS and EAL6 security standards that can help thwart costly and catastrophic cybersecurity events. It’s even more secure than common accounting programs and most networks.”
VuWall Expands PAK Video Wall Node Family
VuWall, a technology leader in video wall control systems and unified visualization solutions, is expanding its award-winning, cost-effective, and scalable PAK™ video wall processing appliance family with a new model, the PAK 20. Featuring the same hardware as the existing PAK 10 model, PAK 20 supports two 1920×1080@60Hz outputs or one 3840×2160@60Hz output, along with multi-format decoding. Now integrators can deploy the PAK appliance that suits their project’s requirements, from the PAK 10 featuring one 1920×1080@60Hz output to the PAK 40 providing up to four HDp60 outputs.
“Not every video wall installation is the same, nor do they demand the same support,” said Mark Schmidt, chief technology officer of VuWall. “Due to the overwhelming popularity of PAK and its successful launch, we decided to add granularity to our product line to meet the output requirements of our client’s projects more accurately and bring even more cost-savings to their deployments to offer more cost-effective solutions without compromising on performance.”
DiGiCo Announces New Software Update for S-Series Consoles
DiGiCo is delighted to announce the release of its latest Version 3.0 software update, dramatically increasing the processing power of its small-footprint, cost-effective S-Series consoles. Version 3.0 offers an optional software expansion that significantly increases the channel count from 48 to 60 flexi channels and 24 flexi busses, turning S-Series consoles into an S21+ or an S31+.
V3.0 includes two new Master buss configurations: LCR (Left Center Right) or LRM (Left Right Mono), providing additional control on the channels over the LCR blend or the LRM Mono Gain. LCR or LRM are ideal for running an expanded speaker setup or sending out a mono mix alongside your stereo mix. And increasing the Master buss size doesn’t introduce any compromises: you still have access to all your busses and channels.
TWIST IST Ties the Knot With JVC Professional Video
Since 1997, TWIST Integration Solutions Technology (TWIST IST) has been supplying the professional broadcast markets of Houston and the surrounding areas with AV integrations for optimum performance. When presented with the opportunity to manage the audio and video installation at a new wedding facility for Word of Restoration International Church (WORIC), TWIST IST Vice President Scott Cantrell knew he needed to integrate high-quality, flexible and budget-friendly cameras. To satisfy these requirements, Cantrell turned to JVC Professional Video, a division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation.
While planning the AV integration for the dedicated marriage space, which includes a chapel and reception hall, Cantrell selected two GY-HC900 CONNECTED CAM™ camcorders, each with a 20x lens and seven-inch JVC ProHD on-camera viewfinder monitor, as well as four KY-PZ100 PTZ cameras. Cantrell and his team also designed a new central control room/studio, which features a JVC DT-N21H ProHD Broadcast Studio LCD monitor, along with the RM-LP250M and RM-LP100 Remote Control Panels, to manage the GY-HC900 and PTZ cameras, respectively.
