BenQ, an internationally renowned provider of visual display solutions, today announced its BenQ Board RP03 was named Classroom Tech Solution of the Year in the fifth annual EdTech Breakthrough Awards program conducted by EdTech Breakthrough, a leading market intelligence organization that recognizes the top companies and solutions in the global educational technology market. The EdTech Breakthrough Awards aim to perform the industry’s most comprehensive analysis and review of the global educational technology industry and then recognize the top technology companies, solutions, and products in the industry today.

“The classroom is the most important space in shaping future generations of leaders and collaborators, and as such, it demands the technology that will foster new levels of engagement, collaboration, and learning,” said Bob Wudeck, senior director of business development at BenQ Education. “The RP03 was designed to support teachers where they are with future-ready tools — whether that’s their favorite apps, whiteboarding, wireless screen-sharing with multiple students, or conducting a friendly competition — so students can excel. This award is a significant milestone for the evolution of the BenQ Board. Thank you, EdTech Breakthrough, for shining a spotlight on what makes the RP03 a true innovation that all teachers and students need.”

BenQ Board RP03 Breakthrough Classroom Tech Shapes the Future of Learning

The first smart board to achieve Eyesafe® certification for low blue light, the germ-resistant BenQ Board RP03 is purpose-built for teachers so that they can provide exciting learning opportunities from the moment they sign on. Encouraging active participation in class while protecting student and teacher health, it features one-tap NFC login to instantly load lesson materials; interactive teaching tools for more hands-on lessons; a germ-resistant screen, pen, and remote; split windows for multitasking; array microphones, 16W speakers, and 16W Dolby Digital Plus surround sound for lesson clarity in class and online; InstaShare wireless screen-sharing; and an air ionizer (a first for a BenQ display). Teachers can use their RP03 smart boards like a whiteboard, display, computer, and wireless screen-sharing system thanks to BenQ’s license-free, AWS Qualified EZWrite 6 software. It’s packed with classroom tools for all subjects, including timers, rulers, protractors, compasses, and more. EZWrite 6 also lets educators save whiteboard sessions in the cloud, allowing them to continue giving lessons at a later time and allowing students to access lessons on any device and refer to them later. They can also open documents and image files directly on the whiteboard to facilitate discussions. To complement the experience, the split-screen windows function enables multiple applications to be opened side by side — with no need to tap between content — making it even easier to conduct lessons and further comprehension.

“Instructional technology is changing so quickly, and teachers are too busy to take the time to learn new technology. BenQ ensures that teachers never feel intimidated, even with breakthrough edtech products like the BenQ Board RP03 smart board,” said James Johnson, managing director, EdTech Breakthrough. “The RP03 Series streamlines device use and instruction while making it easy to encourage engagement and excitement in learning. Congratulations to the BenQ Education team for delivering a breakthrough solution designed to help students learn proactively, think creatively, and interact safely.”

The mission of the EdTech Breakthrough Awards is to honor excellence and recognize innovation, hard work, and success in a range of educational technology categories, including Student Engagement, School Administration, Adaptive Learning, STEM Education, Remote Learning, Career Preparation, and many more. This year’s program attracted more than 2,400 nominations from over 16 different countries.
