LynTec, a leading manufacturer of innovative electrical power control solutions for professional audio, video, and lighting (AVL) systems, today announced it will showcase its award-winning power control products — including the popular RPC breaker panel — alongside solutions of its subsidiary Juice Goose at the 2024 Rocky Mountain Audio Video Expo (AVX) in Denver, Oct. 3-4, in booth 709. The booth will feature a comprehensive range of power control and distribution options designed to meet the needs of any facility.

“We’re excited to showcase the full range of power control and distribution solutions across the LynTec and Juice Goose brands,” said Chris Bishop, director of western regional sales at LynTec. “At this year’s Rocky Mountain AVX, attendees will see firsthand how LynTec and Juice Goose products simplify installation, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver the protection and performance required for today’s complex audio, video, and lighting systems.”

LynTec will display its flagship, patented RPC Series — the power control solution from which all LynTec’s innovative power control solutions stem and the premier choice among pro AVL designers, consultants, and integrators. The suite of power control options includes the RPC motorized circuit breaker panels with 30 to 84 controllable breakers per panel, the RPCR electrical relay panels that support eight to 64 relays per panel, and the NPAC rack-mounted relay panel. Based on the G3 Powerlink™ hardware platform by Square D and engineered to simplify buildouts by accelerating the installation process, the power control solution decreases operating costs with simple wiring that allows electricians to complete installs quickly and easily, and removes additional steps, costs, and space needed to install a separate relay panel. It can control lighting and AV systems across multiple control zones using multiple control protocols (HTTP, Telnet, sACN, DMX, and RS-232). From LynTec’s GUI, users can select the protocol for each zone as well as set up, troubleshoot, control, and monitor the status remotely across existing networks from any connected computer or hand-held smart device. The system can send alert notifications via text or email to warn of panel anomalies.

Also at the booth will be LynTec’s ready-to-install NPAC rackmount power management solution, which sequences on/off complex digital audio systems with easy-to-program extended step rates and time delays that guarantee proper component boot-up and shutdown automatically. The NPAC series includes four models — 120V or 240V to manage higher voltage loads — and features four 20-amp circuit inputs, with four or eight relays, in a single 2RU enclosure, saving integrators valuable rack space over 4RU systems and eliminating the need to wire multiple units together. Circuits can fire in any order required, even from unit to unit, with no extra wiring required as long as each NPAC is connected to the network. Outlets can be controlled individually or as a sequenced group with up to 12 zones across 10 units. The unit boasts pre-terminated cables that are ready to plug into existing sources and four NEMA 5-20 outlets (6-20 outlets for the 240V model) that allow for easy connection to gear.

From Juice Goose, attendees will see the JG Series racked power distribution. The lineup features an economical and reliable 19″ rackmounted power module with 15- or 20-amp capacity. The JG Jr has six outlets while the JG8LED has eight outlets plus long-lasting, cool LED lights. The JG 9 has an unswitched outlet on the front plus eight outlets on the back. The JG 9NS has no power switch, designed to prevent accidentally turning power on or off. The JG 11 models have 10 outlets on the back, one on the front and a 15-foot power cord.

The Juice Goose CQ Series AC Power Sequencing for Audio will also be on display. All CQ Series products feature a pair or pairs of power outputs, which can be turned on and off in a predetermined sequence. Equipment to be powered plugs directly into the CQ device with no master control module needed. All CQ models have the ability to transmit a sequence command to another CQ unit or to receive a remote sequence command from another CQ unit or other command component. In this way, many of the CQ Series products can be a master or secondary unit. Building a power sequencing system is as easy as connecting CQ power modules together with RJ45 cable.

In addition, there will be the Juice Goose iP Series IP-based power management devices in the booth. These devices can be accessed via local, intranet or internet communications and are designed to interface with a broad range of control systems, whether developed by commercial systems companies or stand-alone systems developed by or for end users.

Attendees can see a demo of the Juice Goose RX Series power protection products, which use patented Hybrid Filter Technology to clean both normal mode (line-to-neutral) and common mode (neutral-to-ground) noise without contaminating the ground. Unlike many power conditioners, the RX Series offers comprehensive protection by reducing high-frequency interference and absorbing surges up to 6,000 volts. The units also safeguard against wiring issues and over-voltage, ensuring equipment stays safe by blocking power when conditions are unsafe. This advanced protection is critical for digital equipment, where even minor power anomalies can cause operational failures.
