AVANTE Audio has expanded its Imperio Series by launching a collection of pre-configured systems designed to make the lives of audio professionals easier. Devised around specific applications and methods of deployment, each of the systems include everything necessary to get an Avante Audio Imperio PA up and running, including array modules, subs and rigging hardware.
Imperio is a ‘mini array’ system that offers a powerful, flexible and scalable active audio system that is ideal for installation in mid-size venues as well as for use by production companies working on one-off events or touring productions. At the heart of the series is the versatile Imperio mid/top module, which offers a 90-degree x 15-degree dispersion angle and an integrated rigging system allowing multiple units to be connected together with splay angles of 0, 4, 8 or 12-degrees. The compact and lightweight cabinet incorporates a 240W (RMS) Class D amplifier module driving a pair of 4.75″ Neodymium woofers alongside six 1.75” IDVAT (Inverted Dome Vertical Array Technology) high frequency drivers. For low frequency reproduction, the Imperio Series also features a dual 10” woofer sub enclosure, the Imperio SUB210. This utilizes a 6th Order Bandpass design and boasts a 700W (RMS) Class D amplifier with an internal crossover switchable between 90Hz and 120Hz.
The largest of the new Imperio Series Systems is the Imperio Max210. It combines eight Imperio modules and a pair of Imperio SUB210s with a pair of Imperio Flybar LGs and three Imperio Link Pin Kits. This provides everything needed to fly a full hang of eight Imperio array elements with the two subs sitting above. Two of these systems would create a complete audio rig suitable for theatres and concert venues with a capacity of 1000+.
The Imperio Theater Rig 210 is intended for use in smaller venues, such as community theaters and intimate concert halls. It includes four Imperio modules alongside an Imperio SUB210, together with a pair of Imperio Fly Bar LGs and a pair of Imperio Link Pin Kits. It provides everything necessary to fly all five speakers, with the sub hanging above the array modules.
The Imperio Show Rig 210 combines four Imperio modules and two Imperio SUB210s with an Imperio Flybar and Imperio Link Pin Kit. It allows the four Imperio array elements to be flown, while the pair of subs are ground-stacked below. It is also suitable for smaller venues, but where the music policy requires additional low frequency coverage.
Designed for situations where flying is either not possible or necessary, the Imperio Bleacher Stack 210 system features four Imperio modules and an Imperio SUB210 paired with an Imperio Fly Bar LG and Imperio Link Pin Kit. The provided rigging hardware can be used to mount the four Imperio modules above the sub, while their integral linking pins can be used to alter the splay angle between each cabinet to cover different levels of a tiered seating arrangement.
Finally, the Imperio Gig Rig 210 features a pair of Imperio modules together with a single SUB210 and an Imperio Pole kit. It allows the pair of mid/top units to be pole-mounted above the sub, making for an easy to transport and setup mobile PA rig. It is ideal for a wide variety of applications ranging from conference breakout rooms to bands or DJ playing to crowds of a few hundred people.
With the exception of the Imperio Gig Rig 210, all of the systems are available with a standard black, as well as stylish white, finish. The white systems not only include versions of the Imperio module and SUB210 with white cabinets and grilles, they are also supplied with all-white rigging hardware. These kits are perfect for venues such as churches and wedding venues that have light interior designs as well as for production companies working in hotel ballrooms and other spaces were white speakers will be less obtrusive than their black counterparts.
For touring and event production applications, AVANTE Audio also offers a dedicated Imperio Road Case. The Imperio QRC is a heavy-duty case fitted with protective aluminum edging and four convenient bar handles. It features dedicated compartments for four Imperio modules as well as a rigging bar slot and additional space for cables. Mounted on large smooth-running castors, the case also features stacking cups in its lid to allow multiple cases to be loaded on top of each other in a warehouse or truck.
“Imperio has been on the market for well over a year now and the response from audio professionals has been fantastic,” explains Chuck Green, Director of Sales for AVANTE Audio. “They not only like the versatility of the system – being able to deploy the same units flown, ground-stacked or pole-mounted, in various configurations, to meet the needs of different venues and events – but they also love the audio quality. As more and more installers and production companies discover Imperio, we want to make it as accessible and straightforward as possible. These new packages are designed to make life easier for customers who are ordering Imperio products, grouped together into logical packages that translate to the way they are likely to be used.”
The Imperio Series Systems are all available now from AVANTE Audio distributors and dealers worldwide. The QRC road case is not currently available in Europe.
