DNAV, a full-service consultation firm, systems integrator and representative for Sierra Automated Systems (SAS) and other manufacturers, has promoted Mike Adachi (‘Mike D’) to the role of full-time Field Services Engineer, effective immediately. Mike, a contractor with DNAV since August, brings his audio processing expertise and background as a well-known music producer and production engineer (Post Malone, Drake, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift) in house, diversifying the company’s already robust field services talent and solutions offerings for the broadcast and AV industries.

“Mike is a syndicated mix show host with 20 years of experience on both sides of the microphone,” says Daniel Hyatt, Principal of DNAV North America. “We love bringing talent from different areas of expertise to our company culture. It allows for different perspectives and skillsets in our staff that can ultimately influence and benefit everyone. Plus, with Mike’s background in music production and engineering, his audio processing experience is impressive.”

Mike will serve as a versatile specialist supporting DNAV’s representation of the Orban audio processing line, harnessing his broadcast experience as the commercial and imaging director for Cox Radio Hawaii from 2004-2012. Mike’s extensive experience in broadcast engineering lends itself to his duties of developing DNAV’s standards-based IP transport solutions, including SMPTE 2110-30 for PCM audio over IP and SMPTE 2022-7 for network path redundancy. He will also support DNAV’s representation of Audinate’s Dante audio and video solutions.

Mike will cover regional field service work from the Midwest to the East Coast, and assist with software programming for products from Sierra Automated Systems and other networked radio systems. DNAV has been aggressively adding talent as the company builds out its structure for a broader national footprint, including the recent additions of Brad Roybal and Ben Ackerman as Field Services Engineers covering other territories. With Mike’s appointment, DNAV further expands its customer training and support resources across the Americas.

“I feel privileged to be in the company of extremely knowledgeable people who I can not only learn from but use my knowledge to the best of my abilities in the field,” says Mike on his new role. “I’m learning from the team at DNAV and they are learning from me. I love that you don’t have dozens of people all with the same skills at DNAV. It makes for a more educational, exciting, and productive working environment.”
