Ideal for Rental and Touring Setups, the New DMX Relay is RDM Ready and CE Certified

LynTec, a leading manufacturer of electrical power control solutions for professional audio, video, and lighting systems, today announced that its new Dual DMX Relay (DDR) is now shipping. Introduced at LDI 2025, the relay is built to accommodate the evolving needs of production professionals seeking reliable, distributed power control without the limitations of traditional centralized panels by delivering relay control in DMX-driven environments.

LynTec Image “LDI is an important show that allows us to connect with the live event professionals that rely on our power control solutions,” said Mark Bishop, President of LynTec. “This year we’re excited to show how the product lineup continues to evolve, with new solutions for DMX systems and expansion of legacy lines. It’s a great opportunity to connect with partners and demonstrate how the new additions will support the flexibility and reliability today’s AVL professionals demand.”

The DDR features a single 20A input that supports two 20A PowerKon output connectors, allowing users to either pass the full 20A through a single output or split the load between two devices. The module is an IP65 rated enclosure for use in outdoor environments where dust and water may be an issue. This versatile configuration offers designers greater adaptability when managing circuit control in a variety of both permanent install and live production setups.

The compact relay can be installed virtually anywhere equipment is located, including on trusses, behind line arrays, or inside road cases. It supports two modes of control. Out of the box, the unit is DMX sensing, automatically turning on when a DMX signal is detected and turning off when DMX signal is lost for 5 minutes. Alternatively, users can activate the onboard RDM functionality to assign a DMX address and control each output independently. The unit is UL Listed, as well as being CE and cMET certified for both EU and US models.

“Rental and touring installers are constantly balancing speed, flexibility and reliability. The new Dual DMX Relay is designed to support all three,” said Mark Bishop, president of LynTec. “By enabling controlled power to be deployed exactly where it is needed, whether on a truss, in a rack or inside a road case, the relay helps simplify setups, reduce cabling complexity and adapt quickly to fast-moving live production environments. With CE and cMET certification, it also gives rental and touring companies confidence that the same solution can be used consistently across global markets.”
