Symetrix Announces Audmax as New Distributor for Hungary
Leading digital signal processing specialist Symetrix has announced a further strengthening of its presence in the dynamic Eastern European market with the appointment of Budapest’s Audmax to serve as its distributor for Hungary.
Established ten years ago, Audmax has maintained a solid focus on pairing a strong and evolving distribution roster with comprehensive technical expertise. Today, the firm represents many of the leading pro-audio and MI brands in the industry – including Allen & Heath, Audio-Technica, Avid, Genelec, Korg, Tascam and Vox – as well as participating in high-profile audio integration projects at venues such as Budapest’s Palace of Arts and the Hungarian Parliament Building.
Audmax Managing Director Krisztian Varga explains that many members of the team have had good previous experiences of working with Symetrix products, but that recognising the “current exciting potential” for more sophisticated DSP in its home market was the specific trigger for taking on its latest distribution role.
“The installation segment and AV industry as a whole are growing rapidly in Hungary, and we therefore see an opportunity to advance the concepts of audio networking and DSP splitting,” says Varga. “This obviously entails a certain learning curve for the market, and one of the great advantages of the Symetrix DSPs is that they are easy to use and demonstrate… the benefits can be explained quickly to potential end-users.”
Varga – who expects the SymNet Dante-scalable DSPs to strike a particular chord – also highlights the quality of the dialogue with Symetrix personnel including International Sales Manager, Mark Ullrich, who remarks of the new relationship: “Our conversations with Audmax over recent months confirmed that Hungary’s installation market is beginning to embrace the potential of quality DSP in a major way. We look forward to working closely with Krisztian and the team as they develop the profile of Symetrix’s diverse range of DSPs throughout this exciting market.”
