Digital signage software pioneer to introduce native QL Player software for 4K/UHD- and HDR-capable LG Smart TV displays

LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND, January 28, 2019Navori, the first digital signage software supplier to deliver native Android and Tizen media players for System on a Chip (SoC) displays will unleash its next proprietary and high-performance innovation for LG Smart TV displays at the upcoming ISE 2019 conference. The specially designed and globally certified LG webOS player will be on demonstration at Stand 8.E195 in the Amsterdam RAI from February 5-8.

The integration of Navori’s QL Player software with LG’s native webOS platform extends the benefits of SoC to LG’s global customer base. The integration delivers a built-in digital signage player engine that minimizes cabling and equipment costs, lowers theft and vandalism risks, and eliminates third-party hardware installation headaches. These are the same benefits that Navori has provide to Android displays(Panasonic, Phillips, Sharp and Elo Touchscreen) since 2017, and Samsung Tizen displays since early 2018.

Coupled with the latest Navori QL Player innovations that are new for ISE – including multi-player synchronization down to 1/5th of a second when multiple screens are visible – Navori customers are assured a dynamic feature set that outperforms basic software-based SoC players. Standard Navori QL Player strengths carried over to the LG integration include a proprietary graphics engine, broadcast-quality content playback, template and ticker support with multiple layers and transparency, player monitoring, proof-of-playback reporting, and automated software updates.

“SoC adoption really took off in 2018, as its benefits around installation and maintenance become as clear as the digital signage content these displays deliver. Today, SoC is available in 41 percent of all professional displays,” said Jerome Moeri, CEO, Navori. “Companies like LG are forging an important path for organizations that simply want to buy a screen that works, without requiring external cabling or hardware. Navori’s aggressive SoC adoption has resulted in a market-leading position that will continue to grow, with at least one new display partner to be announced in the coming weeks.”

As with any Navori QL Player deployment, compatibility with SaaS/cloud and on-premise installations provide network operators and end users several deployment options to best suit their needs, with minimal maintenance and training requirements thanks to QL Player’s trademark reliability, ease of use and short learning curve.
