Lighting 101 and then some
presented by Tony Hansen, Resident Lighting Designer and Project & Product Specialist, Techni-Lux
We will take a look at the history of theatrical and event lighting and controls and how it got us to where we are today. From a starting point of the first incandescent lights and the first of the moving lights up to today’s digital lighting and computerized consoles we will get a feeling for the tools and the trade of lighting design and what is available for your facility and productions. If you have no lighting experience or just want to go over some of the basics, this is a great place to start. We will go over the evolution of equipment, controls, DMX and addressing. We will also take a look at the newest technologies and trends. This is a great lighting primer.
