The Keller Church of Christ has been an active participant in the Keller, TX community for more than 100 years. While the congregation here was established more than 100 years ago, the origin of the church takes place in the first century and is the church that was established by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ – Jesus’ church. The church He established with His life, His death and His resurrection almost 2,000 years ago. The Keller Church of Christ expects to continue to grow and thrive in our community for many years to come. As we continue to grow and reach out to the world, we have utilized the use of technology to expand our reach. We began to video our sermons and upload them to our website. With the ability of a HD camcorder we found that we could achieve this goal but soon found that although we were capturing the video the audio quality was very poor. I reached out to A/V professionals to find that your best option for good quality sound would be to try to find a camera with XLR inputs. As I continued my research I came across the Beachtek DXA-2T universal compact camcorder adapter. I reached out to Beachtek for suggestions on what my options would be using the camcorder we had to improve our audio quality.

Beachtek’s response was music to my ears. “We sell many DXA-2T units to churches for this. The adapter will match the signal levels, provide ground isolation and convert the balanced signals to unbalanced for noise free operation”. The installation was very easy. Attaching the DXA-2T to the bottom of camcorder and then to the tripod. DXA-2T plugged directly into the output our sound board with a XLR cable. From the DXA-2T we plugged directly into the mic input of the camcorder with a 1/8” stereo mini connector. With the gain controls on the adapter, it produced the result that we set out to achieve. We have been using the DXA-2T since August 2015 and it has eliminated the crowd noise and has given us the ability to have a high quality video with exceptional audio that we are have been able to upload to our website, http://kellercofc. org/videos/ to share God’s word to the world.
