Did you know we’re in the midst of a followspot revolution? With today’s automated pan/tilt luminaires and modern tracking software, it no longer makes sense to hang a followspot operator in the truss alongside your moving heads.

Join Alistair Smyth and Frederik Afif on the May 27th Elation Coffee Break as they discuss how Elation lights can be easily and accurately used with performer tracking software to keep artists in the spotlight. Alistair and Frederik will be using some of Elation’s top moving heads – Artiste Mondrian™, Artiste Monet™ and Fuze Profile™ – together with automatic performer tracking software to demonstrate the ease and effectiveness of using automated moving heads as followspots.

Traditional followspots take up both space and money, can involve rigging complications and often put followspotters in dangerous or inconvenient positions. Using automated luminaires with tracking software is not only quick to implement it saves on extra costs.

The Elation Coffee Break on using automated luminaires as followspots will air live on Thursday, May 27th at 11:00 a.m. CEST at http://www.facebook.com/ELATION.Pro.Europe/live/. It’s easy and no registration is required.

The Elation Coffee Break is an online presentation series from Elation’s European office in Kerkrade, the Netherlands that takes an up-close look at some of the company’s most popular product series.
