Marshall Electronics, a leading manufacturer of broadcast and proAV cameras and equipment, will showcase its CV730-BHN with Full-NDI® and CV730-ND3 with NDI®|HX3 technology at NAB 2023 (Central Hall, Booth C5520). These new cameras are designed to accommodate broadcast production facilities looking to produce high-impact content with less staff on-site and sometimes limited IP bandwidth. The CV730-BHN Full-NDI® PTZ camera incorporates the premium Full NDI® FPGA while also offering the benefits of NDI|HX3 and standard IP (HEVC/SRT) streams. The CV730-ND3 PTZ camera utilizes the new NDI|HX3 platform and standard IP (HEVC/SRT).

The CV730-BHN features a premium Sony 4K sensor with 9.2 million pixels and back-lit square pixel technology designed behind a long 30x optical zoom range (6.5~ 202mm). It also has support of BT.2020 color gamut for wide and precise color reproduction suitable for high-end productions. The CV730-BHN has streaming options of Full-NDI, NDI|HX3 and standard IP (HEVC/SRT), while also offering two simultaneous SDI (BNC) outputs 12GSDI + 3GSDI with genlock sync, as well as HDMI and USB3.0 options when the application demands it. High Bandwidth NDI requires higher network bandwidth but in return delivers lowest latency video possible nearing the quickness of traditional SDI, while maintaining premium quality and lossless video performance.

JVC Professional Video, a division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation, introduces its first NDI®-compatible broadcast camerasthe
GY-HC500UN, GY-HC550UN
and GY-HC500SPCN, which will be on display at NAB 2023 (Booth C4218). The cameras join JVC’s previous HC500 Series handheld camcorders, which feature optimized image processing and IP performance. Designed in direct response to systems integrator requests, the NDI-compatible versions ensure that broadcast studios, schools, churches and other facilities can seamlessly incorporate the cameras within their existing IP infrastructure as a source for live video with tally and IP remote control capability. Current HC500 Series users can also have their cameras upgraded by JVC to implement the new NDI capabilities.

Already found in several of JVC’s newest PTZ cameras, NDI (Network Device Interface) is a leading technology that allows hardware- and software-based video devices to communicate and collaborate over any standard Ethernet-based network. Among the many benefits of NDI is the reduction of hardware required to operate, and the ability to send multiple video streams over a single connection. It also allows for multiple video sources to be managed in real-time, with the easy-to-use NDI Discovery function of the network. These features not only reduce overhead costs and rack space, but also ensure simplified setup and allow for greater flexibility and creativity.

With its inaugural race dating back over 170 years, the America’s Cup is the highest prize in sailing and the oldest trophy in international sport, occurring roughly every three to four years. The 37th America’s Cup will take place in Barcelona in 2024, with NYYC American Magic as the New York Yacht Club’s (NYYC) challenger for the upcoming race. To help enhance training, the team sought assistance from Marshall Electronics cameras to capture unique footage for performance evaluations in extreme conditions.

Designed to withstand the effects of mother nature, the Marshall CV503-WP micro and CV226 lipstick cameras provide a professional solution for broadcast and proAV applications when conditions are less than perfect. Housed in a miniature IP67-rated body, the CV503-WP and CV226 offer flexible interchangeable lenses, easy remote adjust and match control, and protection from the elements. Not only are these all-weather POV cameras durable, but they also deliver detail, clarity and color-accurate shots from challenging positions. When training in salt-water environments at high speeds, it’s no surprise that the CV503-WP and CV226 were optimal for the NYYC American Magic training sessions.

Bolin Technology expands its leadership in Pro AV with the introduction of the company’s groundbreaking, dual-stream Dante AV PTZ cameras. Making their debut at ISE 2023 in Barcelona, the new D412UH and D220UH are the first PTZ cameras in the AV-Over-IP industry to offer simultaneous hardware and software codec streaming to multiple endpoints, providing total flexibility in network bandwidth and image quality selection. The D Series dual-stream cameras will be joined by another new D Series camera at ISE – the D2-220H Dante AV-H.264 camera – ideal for AV over IP applications.

Bolin Technology will exhibit in Hall #5 Stand H110 during ISE, which runs from January 31-February 3 at the Fira Barcelona Gran Via.

Using either the new D412UH (4K) or D220UH (HD) cameras, the user can designate a Dante AV Ultra or Dante AV-H stream depending on the output locations. No matter the need or destination, these dual–stream cameras can send the video flow that best fits the destination with the quality Dante-enabled devices are known for.

Allen & Heath at Heart of Newly Upgraded One Hope Church

One Hope Church in Gentilly, New Orleans started out as a mobile church – setting up temporary services in community centers and schools every weekend using a mix of purchased and donated equipment. During the lockdowns of the COVID pandemic, One Hope converted the Langston Hughes Elementary school gymnasium they were using into a video studio and employed Dante to multitrack and livestream their services to their remote congregation. “From then on, Dante became their backbone,” noted Chuck Breaux, integrator with Assurance AV Solutions. The church’s AV team knew that Dante would be a crucial component of their system once they finally found a permanent home.

Eventually, One Hope located a former church building a few blocks away that had been abandoned following Hurricane Katrina, and they started planning out their audio and video systems. “We began putting together a wish list of what their needs were,” recalled Breaux. The new property comprises several buildings, one being a former cafetorium that would become an overflow room with their existing equipment. For the main worship facility, however, the church wanted to invest in something new that met all their requirements. “They wanted a personal monitoring option for the band, they wanted a matrix mixer to control audio distribution throughout the buildings, and just something that would offer tremendous overall flexibility.”
