LynTec, a leading manufacturer of innovative electrical power control solutions for professional audio, video, and lighting (AVL) systems, today announced its new LCP Lighting Control Panel Series and RPC Power Control now feature simplified native support for the Building Automation and Control network (BACnet) communication protocol. Featuring the internationally recognized Square D G3 Powerlink™ controllable circuit breaker platform, LynTec solutions can be integrated more quickly and easily into a building automation system employing this open communication standard, saving extensive time and labor on the installation.

“In 2015 we introduced BACnet interoperability into our popular and award-winning RPC breaker panels. This paved the way for building owners who wanted to use our reliable power control solutions for their lighting systems to incorporate them into their existing building automation systems and reduce operating costs,” said Mark Bishop, president of LynTec. “As we’ve continued to deliver new power control products tailored to the increasing needs of the lighting market, we wanted to make it nearly effortless for commercial architectural lighting designers and integrators to set up our lighting control panels into building automation systems. Now they can fully integrate them in a matter of hours — rather than days — and without hiring third-party specialists.”

LynTec, a leading manufacturer of innovative electrical power control solutions for professional audio, video, and lighting (AVL) systems, today announced that the company’s Narrow Profile Panelboards were named Best of Show at InfoComm 2021 by Sound and Video Contractor Magazine. After being reviewed by the award’s judging panel, on the show floor in Orlando, Florida, the Narrow Profile Panelboards garnered the honor. LynTec, a leading manufacturer of innovative electrical power control solutions for professional audio, video, and lighting (AVL) systems, announced that Sapphire Sound, in collaboration with GerrAudio, deployed LynTec’s AVL power control in the storied Jack Singer Concert Hall in Calgary. Part of Calgary Alberta’s Arts Commons facility, it is one of the most acclaimed venues in North America. It is home to the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, BD&P World Stage, and TD Jazz.

While COVID-19 forced the JSCH to remain closed to the public throughout 2020 and into the 2021 season, the not-for-profit space was able to use the downtime to overhaul its AVL systems. A feature of the overhaul was the installation of a flexible Meyer Sound system that can easily be reconfigured to accommodate multiple audience seating arrangements, depending on the type of show being performed on stage. To achieve this, the team at the Jack Singer brought in local AV integrator Sapphire Sound; GerrAudio Distribution, Meyer Sound’s Canadian distributor; and Meyer Sound to come up with a hybrid system.
