CalvaryChapelBellevue, Washington-area Calvary Chapel Eastside has been in the works for several years. The building project began nearly a decade ago, while the assembly was still worshiping in Bellevue College on Sundays. Slowly but surely, the congregation built up savings, constructing the church building in stages over that time. They were also paying attention to the technology that would support their message in the church, choosing platforms that would set them apart and take them far into the future. These included an L-Acoustics ARCS WIFO PA system and a Roland M-5000 OHRCA Live Mixing Console. This impressive sound system was installed by nationally-known AV systems sales and integration provider CCI Solutions.

Beautiful New Divine Mercy Church Completed with IC Live System

In Install Newsby admin

untitledFormed by the merger of Nativity of Our Lord and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parishes in 2009, Divine Mercy Parish recently dedicated its brand-new sanctuary. Located a dozen miles northwest of New Orleans, the 19,600-square-foot church seats up to 950 parishioners and features a lovely interior with exposed trusses and a high, vaulted, wood deck ceiling; a stained-glass window wall that separates the narthex from the nave; and several additional stained-glass panels.

Though it might be a heavenly place to worship, the new sanctuary is acoustically challenging. Hard and parallel surfaces abound. Adding to the challenges, the church hosts both traditional and contemporary mass, the latter featuring amplified instruments. So when Technical Services Group, Inc., of Baton Rouge, designed and installed the church’s new sound system, owner/president Arthur “Bo” Hoover knew that keeping reflected sound to a minimum was critical. TSG’s solution: Renkus-Heinz IC Live loudspeakers with steerable beam technology.

The Bridge Bible Church Looks to the Future with the Roland V-1200HD Multi-Format Video Switcher

In Install Newsby admin

TheBridgeThe Bridge Bible Church in Bakersfield, California, has plans for its future. The 12-year-old house of worship, whose sanctuary today accommodates 1,200 worshippers at a time – a total of 2,5000 weekly across three Sunday services, is considering adding a satellite location sometime in the next year or two, which will necessitate the acquisition and integration of video cameras and I-MAG projection, something they don’t need currently thanks to an architectural design whose curved balcony makes for a pleasantly intimate worship space. But when The Bridge Bible Church makes its expansion move, its media infrastructure will be ready, thanks to the purchase earlier this year of a Roland V-1200HD Multi-Format Video Switcher. The Roland V-1200HD was purchased through Pacific West Sound, also in Bakersfield.

LightParts Outfits Life Austin Church With HES Gear

In Install Newsby admin

LifeChurchAustinIn addition to being one of the most popular worship experiences in Austin, Life Austin Church has recently opened the beautiful 1000 seat Life Austin Amphitheatre. LightParts has been working with Life Austin Church since 2013, and the church turned to LightParts to fill some of their Amphitheatre lighting needs with High End Systems gear, including 20 intellaspots, five SHAPESHIFTER C1’s and the FQ-100 Fogger. Control is handled with a Road Hog Full Boar 3 console.

John Capezzuti commented, “We have been using LightParts for fixture and PCB repairs as well as a source for parts for several years. Along the way we purchased a Road Hog Full Boar 3 console, some Clay Paky Alpha Wash Halo 1200, and an FQ-100 fogger from them to enhance the worship experience. We have a very capable tech staff, but when we don’t have time to sort something out ourselves it’s great having LightParts close by. When we were ready to talk lighting gear for our Amphitheatre project it was natural to partner with LightParts and High End Systems. We have a great technical support team here in Austin, and I appreciate all LightParts does for us.”

NanoLumens NanoSlim Technology Helps Perimeter Church Enlighten Congregation by Brightening Main Sanctuary

In Install Newsby admin

More and more houses of worship are turning away from projectors and are embracing LED displays to better connect with their congregations, particularly younger digitally native attendees who find digital displays more appealing. A good case in point is Perimeter Church, a 5,000-member worship community located on a 100-acre campus in Johns Creek, Georgia, who recently renovated their sanctuary with three NanoSlim displays from LED solution industry leader NanoLumens.

The Perimeter Church sanctuary offers 2,305 seats and a stage bordered by beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows. However, with Perimeter’s projectors, the large windows had to be covered during sermons to preserve the color and quality of the projected image. Perimeter’s Director of Technical Ministry Steve Simmons determined that replacing the two side projectors with thin, lightweight, floating LED technologies would enhance the atmosphere by allowing for natural light to brighten the main sanctuary during the day. Adding a center LED screen would allow them to engage the younger, millennial members of congregation in new ways, improving comprehension and retention of the sermon points. The church turned to leading LED innovator and manufacturer NanoLumens to design and install three versatile NanoSlim solutions for the space.

A Tennessee Lighting Company Brings Young Looks To Big Emory Baptist With Ovation E-910FC

In Install Newsby admin

Big EmoryAs an experienced lighting designer/installer who has brought the benefits of LED systems to numerous churches, Ken (KP) Patterson is accustomed to getting letters from tech directors and pastors thanking him for introducing their house of worship to this new technology. However, even Patterson wasn’t prepared for the response he received after installing the Ovation E-910FC ERS style LED fixture from CHAUVET Professional at Big Emory Baptist Church.

“The church sent me a letter signed by about 30 people glowing with their amazement at what the lights can do,” said Patterson. “Having gone from virtually no lighting system to something as modern and powerful, E-910FC was truly a quantum leap for them all.”

For Patterson, the letter was especially gratifying, because aside from enhancing services for church members, the new lighting system he installed also helped Big Emory Baptist take a major step toward achieving its goal of attracting more young worshippers. “This is a fairly large and modern church, but it’s a rural facility without the latest technology,” he explained. “The church is making a concerted effort to change and draw more young people.”

First Baptist Church of Manchester, TN, Ups Its Services with Danley Speakers and Ashly Powered Dante Connectivity

In Install Newsby admin

FBC_Manchester_InteriorLike many contemporary churches, First Baptist Church of Manchester, Tennessee has undergone a transformation in the style and energy of its services. Years ago, services centered on sermons augmented by music played by organ, piano or choir. Thus, in a room that seats nine hundred, the demands on the sound reinforcement system were rather light. But that has changed – and dramatically. These days FBC punctuates sermons with a full band comprised of rock ‘n roll instruments. The church’s old sound reinforcement system couldn’t keep up! Audio/video integration firm Centerline Audio Visual, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, stepped in to design simple, yet powerful, stereo reinforcement consisting of two Danley SM-100B full-range loudspeakers buttressed from below by a Danley BC-218 subwoofer, with Ashly Audio nXp-Series network multi-mode amplifiers providing power, integrated DSP, and Dante connectivity.
