HARMAN Professional Solutions, the global leader in audio, video, lighting and control systems, today announced the new Learning Sessions eLearning program offered for free in conjunction with HARMAN Pro University.
The Learning Sessions along with the Live Workshop Series provides a range of free on-demand and instructor-led webinars hosted by leading knowledge experts from around the world. The Industry Expert workshops feature tips and tricks from Front of House Engineers, Lighting Designers, Technicians and other industry experts, while the HARMAN Expert workshops feature in-depth product and solution webinars by HARMAN product specialists.
As the industry faces uncertain times, technology providers are stepping up to support audio pros with expanded online learning resources. LIve Design has put together a list of courses, webinars, and certification classes for any experience level—and they’re all free.

Buckinghamshire Music Trust (BMT’s) Battle of the Bands (BOTB) contest for young aspiring musicians was this year blessed by having two of the world’s leading pro audio manufacturers provide a top tier concert touring spec. By being able to broadcast their sound through a premier touring PA, on a Dante backbone, will have taken the 12 bands competing in the final into new territory. The two High Wycombe-based manufacturers concerned were Martin Audio, and Focusrite Pro, both now under the umbrella of parent company, Focusrite plc.
It just doesn’t get any easier to capture a live, multi-track performance. TouchMix mixers are capable of recording all inputs plus a stereo mix directly to an external USB drive – no computer required. Tracks are created in 32-bit Broadcast Wave format and can be played back and mixed down on the mixer or imported into Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software for over-dubs and post production. The Sennheiser SoundAcademy has started to provide free pro audio training webinars and product demonstrations globally. The webinars will cover a wide range of topics from wireless microphones, to audio for video, to conference beamforming microphones. They have been created for customers from the music industry, AV industry, film and video production teams as well as the education and corporate sectors. The free training sessions will be offered at 1:30 a.m., 6:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. (all times U.S. Eastern Time), which allows people from around the globe to tune in.

Italian power amplifier manufacturers Powersoft have just announced new online trainings for their outdoor multimedia unit Deva. The sessions will be presented live by one of Powersoft’s Deva system engineers and will focus on the features of the unit designed specifically for safety and crowd management during emergency situations including facial recognition, crowd count, virtual fencing, SOS, and public warning messages. The trainings will take place on Monday, March 30, 2020 at 2pm CEST and 6pm CEST and are free to attend.
