Yamaha Promotes Vega to Marketing Manager, Guitars

Yamaha today announced the appointment of Armando Vega to marketing manager for the company’s Guitar Department. Vega will report to Dennis Webster, manager, Pro Audio & Combo Division marketing, Yamaha Corporation of America.

Vega began his career at Yamaha Guitars in 2005 as product manager and since that time, he has played a pivotal role in contributing to the department’s exponential sales growth. He also helped develop the award-winning A Series guitars and THR desktop amplifier lineup.

“Armando has been integral to helping Yamaha Guitars grow its market share in the United States over the last few years by facilitating artist relations and providing solid marketing and sales support,” said Webster. “This promotion will build upon his mastery of the entire product lineup and bring his marketing skills to the next level as we align for success with our dealers and customers.”

Prior to joining Yamaha, Vega worked as a Technical Marketing Specialist at Pioneer Electronics and as Technical Liaison, Sales and Marketing at Nakamichi America Corporation. A semi-professional guitarist and singer who performs with one of the top bands in Southern California, Vega earned an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering at ITT Technical Institute in Houston.
