Yamaha announces the availability of StageMix Version 7, the popular iPad App for Yamaha CL and QL Digital Audio Consoles. Since 2010, the StageMix iPad application has provided engineers worldwide a very flexible, efficient wireless setup, control capabilities, and monitor mixing.

As the StageMix software evolved, it has become an invaluable tool not only for a monitor setup, but for wireless mix fine tuning from anywhere in the audience seating area, mixer display expansion via a wired connection, and more. With Version 7, both CL StageMix and QL StageMix acquire a new “CUSTOM” meter area and a more flexible fader area layout capability. The input-patching feature that was added in Version 6 has been expanded in Version 7 to include a multi-channel input patch function that allows multiple consecutive input channels to be patched as a group.

Thanks to the ongoing collaboration between Shure and Yamaha since 2013, control and monitoring support has also been added for Shure wireless receivers that are non-Dante compatible including the AXT400, QLXD4, and ULXD4. “We are always working to offer innovations and refinements that satisfy our customers’ needs,” states Rob Fuhlbrugge, Senior Director of Engineering and Product Development at Shure. “By providing CL and QL StageMix control and monitoring capability for Shure network wireless products including the Axient, QLXD4 and ULXD4 receivers, the benefits of those products become available to a wider spectrum of users.”

“For the past 30 years, Yamaha has led the way in digital mixer innovation,” states Marc Lopez, director of marketing for CA products, Yamaha Corporation of America, Professional Audio division. “The close connection we have with our customers motivates us to continue adding value to Yamaha digital mixers and expanding features on StageMix.”

Version 7 for the CL StageMix and QL StageMix applications can be downloaded from the iTunes Store free of charge.
