This year’s Technologies for Worship Conference at NAB2007 was a resounding success. The success was derived from an expanded seminar schedule and a refined pavilion area.

Hundreds of attendees took advantage of the extensive seminar program of over 50 seminars, including seven unique all day sessions over the six-day event. Attendees from all over the world marveled at the diverse array of topics that were available, from the basic “Listening 101: The Principle of Acoustics” to the progressive “Will MySpace & YouTube Evangelize the Broadcast Industry”. There were seminars for every level of experience and in all technological disciplines.

A highlight from the hundreds of responses received from the attendees of the seminars was from a grateful house of worship leader who said: “ By attending this seminar (Dynamic Worship by Design) my church has saved over $225,000.00!”

Seminar attendees raved about everything, from the quality of the seminars, to the passion that TFWM’s highly qualified speakers brought to their sessions. “Awesome info – my only complaint is that the class ended!” said one gentleman who attended Phil Cooke’s “Branding Faith” Seminar.

The pavilion area, located in the Central Hall of the NAB2007 exhibit floor, was a very popular draw. Along with offering three daily in-depth, hands-on workshops in digital mixing, analog mixing, location (interview) lighting, and line array workshops this year’s Quiet Stage® allowed attendees to experience cutting edge digital instrument technology and monitoring equipment, through five daily performances from Christian recording artist Amber Lee.

The success of the Technologies For Worship Pavilion® and show floor could not have been possible without the support and participation of the sponsors.
“Thanks to all our wonderful sponsors for their continued support. Education in the house of worship market is imperative, and we owe our continued success to the sponsors who recognize this and who are just as passionate about educating churches as we are.” said Shelagh Rogers, founder of TFWM,
These sponsors were: Audio Ethics, Avcon, Aviom, d&b audiotechnik, Digico, Edirol by Roland, Eiki, ETC, EV, Mobil Stage Rentals, QSC, Telex, Toon Boom, Yamaha Commercial Audio, and Yamaha.

TFWM is already planning next years Technologies for Worship Conference at the NAB, with plans to increase the exhibit floor space and offer an even more intensive seminar program than was presented this year. “We’ve recently contracted to run the Technologies for Worship Conference and seminars with NAB into 2009,” states Rogers, “and we plan on getting bigger and better every year.”
