As a video integration and production services company, TV Pro Gear is a leader in all things broadcast and event production. Under the direction of President and CEO Andrew Maisner, the team has spent the last 25 years designing, engineering and building TV stations, production studios, flypacks and video trucks for clients all over the world. In order to deliver cutting-edge broadcast productions for his clients, Maisner and his team often choose to spec a variety of gear from JVC Professional Video, a division of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation.

Among the services and solutions that feature JVC equipment are TV Pro Gear’s Genesis I and Genesis II Flypacks, which include the KY-PZ100 or KY-PZ400 CONNECTED CAM™ PTZ cameras, respectively. “We conducted really detailed side-by-side testing with cameras from other manufacturers and JVC is clearly superior at its pricepoint,” says Maisner. “They work better in low light, are less noisy, have a wider gamma and have an amazing 30x zoom lens. The new KY-PZ400 4K camera just takes things to the next level, which is why we added it to the Genesis II package.”

When Immanuel Baptist Church of Little Rock, Arkansas designed its new on-campus City Center for hosting community and local corporate activities, it purchased three SK-HD1800 cameras from Hitachi Kokusai Electric America, Ltd. (Hitachi Kokusai) to enable premium-caliber, in-house video production capabilities. The visual quality of the Hitachi cameras has shone even brighter during the COVID-19 pandemic, elevating the church’s live streaming and IMAG as it moved its services from its primary church building to the new City Center auditorium.

Founded in 1892, Immanuel Baptist’s vision is to be a gospel advancing church, for the gospel, for the city and for the world. Developed in a massively renovated former grocery supermarket on the same campus as Immanuel Baptist’s main church building, the City Center was created for use by community organizations and companies for conferences, training seminars, and special events.

As the studio’s services continue to grow, Yamada needed to ensure that his gear can accommodate his clients’ growing list of production needs. When he found out about Marshall Electronics’ CV502 camera, he instantly found a place for it in his arsenal of production gear. “We love the Marshall CV502 because it has great image quality,” says Yamada. “It’s small and discreet, and it’s loaded with a ton of great features. Its small form factor and black finish makes it the perfect camera to put right in the middle of the action without being in the way. After just two months of live streaming, the Olivet United Methodist Church in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, has been able to connect with church members from all around the world, including some who have moved away, some who were temporarily home-bound, and other who were on vacation. The new live streaming system was in place just before Christmas in 2018. In that time, the church media team has been able to live stream a candlelight service, the 2018 Christmas service, and a special baptism. The live streaming system has connected house bound parishioners like Tori Parker who commented “Glad I can be here, even from my couch as I recover from surgery.”

The system has also connected members of the church who have moved away from the area, like Agnes Miner who says “What a blessing to happen (though I’m not convinced things just “happen”) to check my Facebook feed just a few minutes before 10 this morning and discover the first live feed of your service! And then to discover Pastor Spiegelhalder was participating, and the service included the baptism of his great-granddaughter! It’s been 40 years since our family lived in Coatesville and were active at Olivet. What a joy to participate in the service remotely!” It’s comments like these that remind us why we live stream church services.

In the included video above, you will get the chance to see a behind the scenes look at the new church video production system installed in the Olivet United Methodist Church. This system includes two PTZOptics cameras, the PTZOptics Producer Kit and a whole lot more!
