TFWM: What is a brief history of the Autoscript company?

Janice Seawright: Established in the U.K. in 1984, with headquarters in the U.S. and the U.K., Autoscript is the world leader in the prompting industry. Autoscript provides a complete range of PC-based teleprompters, the best designed and built hardware, PC cards and software, and – with its expanding line of intuitive accessories – is the new definition in prompting. Autoscript is a member of the Vitec Group.

TFWM: Autoscript manufacturers TelePrompters, on-talent monitors, software, and accessories… what would you say is the cornerstone product line for Autoscript?

JS: In today’s technology advancing field, our cornerstone products consist of our user-friendly Win Plus software and LED hardware that is flexible enough to be used by professionals and non-professionals. The technology is second to none and sets the industry standard for teleprompting worldwide. Combined with 24/7 world-wide support, Autoscript continues to lead the world in development, sales and service.

TFWM: Can you tell us a bit about how your Voice-Plus technology works?

JS: Voice Plus is as simple as it gets when it comes to teleprompting. Winning the 2006 “Pick Hit” award from Broadcasting Engineering Magazine, Voice Plus utilizes technology that interprets script to word/script to text recognition. The software keys on select words or text from the selected script, allowing the presenter to work hands free and without the traditional prompter operator.

TFWM: Has your company noticed an increase in house of worship applications for your products in the last 3 – 5 years?

JS: Yes, most definitely. Over the past few years we’ve seen a dramatic increase in requests for both our Motorized and Manual Rise and Fall Systems to be used in worship applications.

TFWM: Any upcoming developments you can disclose before NAB?

JS: Not at this time. Keep your eye on our website: www.autoscript.tv
