PLASA is excited to announce that Altman Lighting has signed on to become an Executive Sponsor of the 2nd Behind the Scenes Happy Hour, an evening with food, drinks and music from 6pm-8pm on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Westgate Las Vegas Hotel.

Altman Lighting is a long-time supporter of Behind the Scenes and, in addition to their support of the Behind the Scenes Happy Hour, along with Altman Rentals also supports the charity through sales of the Ghostlight. “The Ghostlight in the Behind the Scenes’ logo is iconic in the world of technical theatre. The various stories of the Ghostlight’s origin cite safety, honor, and tradition. In the spirit of these values, Altman Lighting and Altman Rentals also supports Behind the Scenes by donating the proceeds of the sale of the Altman Ghostlight. We proudly share this piece of history with our colleagues and this worthy cause,” says Tim Bachman, Western Regional Manager of Altman Lighting. The Ghostlights will be available for sale during LDI at the Behind the Scenes booth.

After a hugely successful event in 2014, attended by over 400 creative technology industry professionals, PLASA is returning to host the biggest pre-LDI party of the year and to raise money for the Behind the Scenes charity, which provides financial support to entertainment technology professionals when they are ill or injured, or to their surviving family members. Funds are granted which can then be used towards medical care, basic living costs and funeral expenses. Behind the Scenes, an initiative of the PLASA Foundation, brings help and hope in times of great need, and has granted over $500,000 since its inception in 2005.

PLASA is currently seeking additional sponsorships for the 2015 event. Information on how to become a sponsor is available online at na.plasa.org/news/LDI/BTS_HappyHour_SponsorPacket_2015.pdf or by emailing bts_hh@plasa.org.

Tickets for the Behind the Scenes Happy Hour will be $60 in advance and will be available for purchase beginning July 15 at http://www.behindthescenescharity.org/btshh.
