Aaron Shust Christmas Concert Stage Colorized With CHAUVET Professional COLORado Fixtures

In Install News, Web Articlesby tfwm

Christmas Concert3Music not only conveys the spirit of Christmas at The Heights Baptist Church, it also creates memories that worshippers cherish. A decade ago, leaders of this church outside Dallas made a decision to move away from theatrical holiday productions and instead have their Christmas season services feature concerts by their choir, orchestra and special guest artists. This year’s guest was very special indeed, as the church welcomed multi-Dove Award winner Aaron Shust, who performed on a stage that was illuminated in warm seasonal colors by COLORado™ 3P IP LED wash banks from CHAUVET Professional.

“The Christmas concerts with their special guests have become a tradition here,” said Bobby Dennis, Technical Director at the church. “In the past, we’ve had artists like Point of Grace, Andrew Peterson, Larnelle Harris join us. Of course part of the feeling we create on stage comes from the very lush holiday colors that light these performances. The COLORado fixtures were key in colorizing the stage for Aaron’s Christmas concert; they are our workhorse color wall and stage wash, performing flawlessly and never flickering, which is important because we HD/IMAG the concert.”

Symetrix Announces New Integration with Shure, Audio-Technica Products in SymNet Composer 3.0

    In Product Newsby tfwm

4d65a930-e673-4d84-9c32-2865b1ba5b25Symetrix has launched SymNet Composer 3.0, an update to the manufacturer’s award-winning open architecture design software. Version 3.0 has built upon the native support of Audinate’s Dante media networking technology for select third-party devices in earlier releases, and extends support of market-leading products thanks to new partnerships with Shure Inc. and Audio-Technica.

Now, integrators can streamline their set-up procedures and achieve network discovery, Dante signal routing, and audio set-up of supported third-party devices from the two new manufacturers alongside Attero Tech and Stewart Audio with a single piece of software.

“The previous version of Composer was genuinely groundbreaking because it meant less software to keep up-to-date and less jumping between different items of software,” says Trent Wagner, Senior Product Manager at Symetrix. “Since launch, integrators have consistently told us that it is saving them both time and money. Now, with SymNet Composer 3.0, we are delighted to be able to extend this ease of configuration to several other market-leading products and make it possible for a Dante-based system to be configured quickly and easily from input to amplifier through a single software program.”

Bose® RoomMatch® Loudspeakers Help The Rock Miami Church Get Great Sound

    In Install Newsby tfwm

Newly opened worship center had its sound system design integrated into the architectural planning

BoseTheRockMiamiMany houses of worship install speaker systems with coverage patterns that do not match the room’s seating areas and put excess energy on the walls. But The Rock Miami church – founded in 1974 in the southwest area of Miami-Dade County, FL – got it right from the start. The church knew that achieving good sound requires including audio system design right from the beginning, during architectural planning and design stages. When the planning began for its new worship center, Pensacola, FL-based consultants Walthall & Associates focused on keeping the sound system as an integral part of the overall design process. To assure that the sound would be excellent, they specified a RoomMatch® loudspeaker system from Bose® Professional.

As installed by AV systems integrator Pro Sound & Video, The Rock Miami’s new sound system for its new 900-seat space consists of two main left-right arrays consisting of two RM12020 modules and an RM9020 module each. Three RM9020 modules are deployed as delay speakers about halfway down the house, left, center and right, near the FOH position. All speakers are powered by six Bose PowerMatch® amplifiers and controlled by Bose ControlSpace® DSP.
