ADJ’s Versatile Ultra HEX Par 3 Provides Quality Color across the Board with 6-in-1 HEX LED

Ultra Hex Par3The latest highly-adaptable product from ADJ is the Ultra HEX Par 3; an LED Par fixture which produces wide washes in an almost-infinite range of rich, vibrant colors, thanks to an expert combination of three 10W 6-in-1 HEX LEDs and 63 built-in color macros.

The HEX Par 3 is incredibly versatile, and this adaptability comes from ADJ’s use of Hex LEDs, which pack Red, Green, Blue, Amber, White, and UV into one diode, allowing users not only to choose from a range of colors but to use ultraviolet light, making the fixture great for those extra glowing effects often needed in party environments and for stage productions.

In Web Articlesby tfwm

Roger-BlackingtonThe world of AV technology today means the church AV staff/department must always be variable. Variable based on changes in technology and variable based on the Lord¹s leading as church pastors and worship leaders apply these new technologies.

Technology is changing all around us and churches cannot be locked in one direction. Whether it be projection, lighting, sound or cameras, ¬elders and facility managers tend to have the idea that a system upgrade equates to a budget line item completed for the next ten years; however, in today¹s technology savvy world that idea is changing!

A turn of the century church gets an Allen & Heath audio upgrade

“We are a very Leesburgenergetic and dynamic congregation, there is a lot going on in our Church on Sundays, and every day of the week” says Stephen Wolgamott, Worship Pastor of The First Baptist Church of Leesburg, Florida. Since the church was founded in the 1880’s the congregation and its activities have steadily grown to a population of over 1200 individuals and families. “Our three Sunday services include a twelve piece orchestra, a seventy person choir and six individual praise vocalists. Oh, yeah, and a five to six person contemporary band” says Wolgamott. Energetic and dynamic would seem an understatement.

This past year the Church completed a thorough renovation of its main sanctuary, which now includes an Allen & Heath ILive T112 console for front of house and an Allen & Heath GLD 80 mixing board for the adjacent broadcast/audio recording center. As with many older buildings, there were untraceable noise feeds happening in the audio chain. Challenges not easily overcome with older, analog consoles. Enter Tim Huff, President of Entertainment Arts of Orlando, Florida…

The Naz Upgrades to New Yamaha Digital System

Yamaha CL5 The Naz lowThe Naz Church in Grove City, Ohio main auditorium seats approximately 2,800 people and has a congregation of 3,000. The church recently installed two Yamaha CL Series Digital Audio Consoles (a CL5 at front of house and a CL1 at monitors), eight Rio input/output boxes: two Rio3224-D, two Rio1608-D, two Ri8s, and two Ro8s. The system was purchased through Boynton Pro Audio (Norwich, NY) and installed by church staff and volunteers.

“This was not our first experience with digital consoles,” states Matt Groves, Technical Director at The Naz. “We previously used a Yamaha LS9 at monitors and a Yamaha PM1D at front of house. The purchase of the CL system began when we started looking for a replacement monitor console because our Yamaha LS9 was stolen from the monitor booth. One of our front of house engineers, Doug McLaughlin with Tech Art Productions in Columbus, suggested we purchase a CL Series, and after researching it more, we discovered how functional it would be for us. Our audio engineers are volunteers with previous digital console experience on our LS9 and PM1D, so the only training required was to watch the self-training videos on the Yamaha website. The set up and operation of the CL system was very user-friendly.”
